Hello and welcome to our iPoll Review. In this article we take another look at a popular paid survey company, we see how it works, what its all about, if you can make money, what kind of money you can expect to make and if its worth your time.
What Is It All About?
- Company: iPoll
- URL: www.iPoll.com
- Price: Free
- Rating: 1 out of 5
Previously known as Survey Head, iPoll is another pollster based company based out of the US. They’re also known as uSamp and own another survey panel called Opinion Place.
They are focused on being mobile to allow people to make money doing surveys on their mobile devices.
If you don’t know how Survey Panels work then keep reading the next paragraph.
How Does it Work?
The iPoll business model, much like CashCrate, Opinion OutPost and Inbox Dollars, are paid survey companies.
These companies collect research data for retail companies through polls, surveys and free trials. The goal is to receive feedback on their product to see what the consumer wants.
When iPoll has a survey they want completed they will contact their database of users. If you have signed up with iPoll providing them with your contact details (email) you will receive a message telling you that there is a survey for you to complete.
For each survey you wish to complete you will need to qualify.
The reason why you need to qualify is because these companies are wanting to collect specific data. This data will depend on your age, your location, your spending habits, your marital status, if you are male or female, if you have kids, if you’re married or not etc.
As you can see it can be hard work qualifying!
How Do You Make Money?
When you sign up to iPoll you are credited $5 into your account. From there you will be asked to complete surveys in order to earn more money.
Each survey will make you around $0.20 (yes that is not a typo, 20 cents) once they are complete.
iPoll pay its users by PayPal or Retail Vouchers. Once you have a minimum of $50 in your iPoll account you can withdraw your money. Users have reported at least a 4 week delay before getting paid.
Is it A Scam Or Legit Company
When asked if iPoll is a scam I first look at the long list of complaints associated with this company.
Many users complain about the small amounts you get paid. At 20 cents per survey it takes a long time to build $50 worth of points. If you become inactive your points will expire so if you stop doing the surveys all your hard work will be lost.
It can be hard to even qualify for the surveys. The trouble is that it takes around 10 minutes to complete the application form and you wont know if you qualify or not until the end. This means you can and will be wasting your time.
iPoll can take up to 60 days to let you know if your surveys were successful! This means you can be working a solid 2 months before you know if its working or not.
Some users have also highlighted that despite all the above hurdles, if they managed to make $50, sometimes this money just never showed up due to unexplained cancellations and errors.
Is it Worth It?
When looking at the above complaints that cover the low amount you make, the effort required to make 20 cents per survey, the length of time it takes to make the minimum withdraw amount and the fact that sometimes you don’t even get paid it leads me to say..
Is iPoll worth it?
I say no its not worth the time of day. It’s a complete waste of your time and I would not recommend this site at all.
